I have a Mach crush baitcaster combo 7' mh rod. Is this combo a good setup for fishing with a frog if I had 50 lb braid on the reel?

Should be fine. I feel that lews rods run a bit heavier powered than other manufacturer's.

I have the same combo. The rod is stronger than it looks or feels.

 

This weekend I was fishing on a wall 20' above the water's surface. I caught Smallmouth in the 2 pound range and had to airlift them with the rod to the top of the wall. It held up fine.  This pic gives a idea of the height.

 

 

I was also ripping a crankbait through dense vegetation as well in another spot. Thought I was going to lose the lure twice, it was so entangled. The rod held up fine to this punishment.
