Where can I find Dark Sleepers?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where I can find some Dark Sleepers? Seems like everywhere I look online they are sold out and none of my local tackle stores have any either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was all in on Dark Sleepers last year, and still am.  But I started out buying a lot of the 3/8 oz.  I think 95% of the time they are too light and float up on retrieve.  1/2 a lot of times too.  Now I almost exclusively throw 3/4 and occasionally a 1 oz.  It is a very compact lure and those weights are not too big.  I see many sizes sold out on TW, but a fairly good selection yet of 3/4 oz.  Just my .02 cents.

I picked up a 3/4" last year and have yet to have a bite.

How do you like to fish them? I tried swimming it ticking the top of weed bed and fishing it like a jig, raise/lower in the weeds with no luck.

I fish them a long the bottom, either slowly swim them or small hops on the bottom with an occasional pause.  Bass hammered them.

Thanks a lot for the input and help guys. I have yet to try them, but a couple buddies have been swearing by them so I figured I'd give them a try. Your guys' help is greatly appreciated!

You can find them snagged on the bottom most everywhere I have fished them!

They get bit a lot but snag line crazy, somehow more then an open-hooked paddle tail on a jighead.  I bought about a dozen and I think I have like 5 left in the smallest size.  I have given up on them unless I am wading a small/shallow enough river that I can walk over and retrieve it when it snags.

Yup! They hammer them around here too. 3" 3/4oz in pink and Shirauo are money.
