I bought a pinnacle YPB 10 at a garage sale and I have tried to look it up and cannot find anything out about it can anyone help me honest value or its ability

to the forum.  Can't help you.  Only been reading fishing forums (and back into fishing) for about 10 1/2 years.  Pinnacle hardly ever gets mentioned.  I know they used to make low cost reels.  No idea how good they were.  A  few years ago they began producing some pretty nice reels, but you couldn't get many interested enough in them to purchase a Pinnacle.  Bassresource has a few reviews of the newer models.  All favorable.

 

This site has a wide audience.  It is quite possible someone will come along that does know a bit about your reel.

Unfortunately Pinnacle is no-more. When they were operating I think they produced specific models for big box stores. This may be one if those. They’re all pretty basic and straight forward. I’d just play with it and see what it’ll do.

Sorry to see them out of business.  I liked the first Primmus HS Xi well enough that when I found them on sale for a bit over 50% off I purchased 2 more.  Very nice reels.

Is that one of the ones where the bodies look a bit like the old Daiwa LPs and has the hidden, no nut, how do I remove this handle set up? I have one. Haven't used it in years. I have other pinnacles that I use daily.  The ones they made that were the same as older Trions, BP Clunns, and other house brands, were work horses. The ones with the floating waffle spool, 6 pin cent. brakes are still one of my favorite reels

There’s a spring loaded washer with teeth under the handle. Tighten the drag all the way, pull the washer away from the handle and turn the handle backwards. It’s threaded right onto the shaft. Quantum’s were like this for a while.
