Best fish finder with through hull trans

Featured Replies

I want to replace the plain old depth finder in my boat with a nice new one. It already has a through hull transducer and am looking for something with the same setup but am not finding anything that comes with one. Can anyone point me to a good fisher finder with a good through hull transducer for around 1200 or less total cost? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Please clarify.  Do you want a through hull or a shoot through hull transducer?

I don't know of a thru hull transducers* for fresh water bass fishing anymore. You may need to leave the TD in the hole for a plug. Today's TD's are multiple direction and multiple frequency units that are no longer round, they are rectangular shaped skimmer units mounted to the transum or trolling motor.

What features are essential for you?

* google Lowrance Plastic SS thru hull transducer, they apparently make one!

I don’t know if any of today’s graphs come with a thru-hull transducer out of the box. HOWEVER, with Humminbird units I know that you can exchange the transducer that comes in the box for a thru-hull for a small fee. My boat has a thru-hull that I had to change for. I love it. Optimum position.

Let me know if you need more info.
