I did it!

Featured Replies

I bought a 2004 NX750. I had the Mercury 115 2 stroke checked out by a local boat shop. While they were running the diagnostics the mechanic said "this engine doesn't have many hours on it." When he was done checking it out he said "you have a very strong engine here."

When he bought the boat in 2004, the young fellow bought a gallon of oil. (It's oil injected.) He hasn't used the first gallon yet. It's been garage kept so it is just about perfect.

I need to get boat insurance. Who do you recommend?

I need some training on how to post pictures. Where do I go for that?

As far as posting pictures, look at the top of the page under "Important Topics" then Forum FAQs/Guidelines -- PLEASE READ (often)".  Click into that topic and you'll see information on how to post pictures.  I used an online photo host (Photobucket.com...its free) and it worked well.  The instructions in that topic are easy and clear.  Good luck!

I recently bought a 1994 Nitro which had been garage kept and covered. I hope you enjoy your Nitro as much as I have mine. My boat is a 18ft. with 150 high performance Mercury. It really scoots across the lake. Yeah you want insurance before you take it to the lake. Enjoy

great deal! i just recently finished my boat and i think i got a killer deal on it so i know how you feel. it's a great feeling, especially when you get a good deal. i don't know about you, but all i want to do is go out on the boat lol. i don't care if fish or not or if i even get a bite.

as for the other two sorry i can't be of assistance. i know there have been a few threads about insurance but i can't recall who is using what. it may even be on page 2.

I have Progressive on my 2004 Nitro. At the time and since no one has beat them on price plus you will have  a disappearing deduction, currently I am down to 0 thus no claims so can not speak on that.

Check with the insurance company that underwrites your auto or homeowners coverage.

State Farm, Farm Bureau and others can give you quotes.

Be sure to include $1,000,000 of liability insurance as it is actually not that expensive.

Wonderful story about you new Nitro.  Have fun and be safe.  :o

I'm a full out Nitro boat owner. I love mine but the only thing I would change is to buy a larger model. By the way I'm looking for good deals... hint hint.

But as far as Insurance goes I would definatley look towards Nationwide. I have Nationwide on my boat and it costs a total of $30.00 a month. NOONE could beat this deal.

Happy to hear about your boat!!!! :o

Congratulations! Now get it insured and get out there and start hookin 'em:o)
