MB UOZE SWIMMER

Featured Replies

I checked out a new swim jig this morning before loading up the yak, the Megabass Uoze Swimmer. So far, I like what I see and I look forward to throwing it some more once the weather cools off some. (No way I’m throwing a $13 jig in the dark.) It swims with a slight, tight wobble and comes through grass quite well. It appears to be well constructed with wire tied skirt and an underspin willow blade connected via a titanium/memory wire. If I didn’t know better, I’d say it was built around an Owner wide gap, cutting point hook, but Megabass claims it’s their hook. (Extremely sharp.)  I now leave the lakes for you working stiffs this weekend, it was a good week.

I like this MB bait, but yeah, $13 is prohibitive.  Doesn't Boo-Yah make a swim jig with a similar winged head design? Thread a Zappu jig spinner on one, and you may have a slightly less pricey alternative.

Oh, I'll throw a $  jig, but not if I can't see or be sure what I'm throwing it in. I bought these last winter and forgot about them until I was retying some lines yesterday afternoon. I took one along early this morning because I wanted to see how it swims. I put a swim senko on it after the sun came up and made a couple of casts and I'm pleased how it swims. I think it will produce.

OK, found it. BooYah's head looks wider in the picture. May have to throw a couple of these in the next TW order.
