Owner Centering Pin Spring!?!?

Featured Replies

This will be a really dumb question, but here it goes!

I just bought several underspins and wanted to upgrade the size of the Owner CPS. I tried to remove the originals and couldn’t get the d**n things off! I could see how it would screw off, but the hook eye kept getting in the way. I didn’t want to force it a damage the original CPS.

Any tips on how it should be done?

Thanks....Joe

As you said just unscrew it. Don't let it get parallel to the shank or it will start attaching to it. You usually have to give it a little push to pop it off after unscrewing. They really help plastics from tearing up so fast. The one thing I don't like is the way they get turned over the knot after catching a fish. Make sure to reorient it.

Tried several times. The hook eye on the underspin keeps me from getting it to the first spiral on CPS. Had no trouble putting one on after I bent the one I was trying to get off.
