Guide wraps

What’s the secret to wrapping guide towards the tip of the rod. Where the tip is more flexible it’s hard to keep the rod from flexing in the tip and making it hard to wrap

No secret, just practice.  And maybe having the supports pretty close together to minimize flex.

Close together supports.  With a home made wrapper you may have to cobble some supports, or add a movable one.

I've made 30+ rods at this point and I'm still searching for that vunder-cure for wraps close to the tip.

Answers above, no magic.  It's all about support.

I use an Alps power wrapper with five support stands. When I get within about a foot of the tip, I move the supports every time I move to the next guide. Basically, I have a support on each side of the guide I’m wrapping. Finish that one, move the supports, and start on the next.
