I have a Hook 7 that I've been using for about 3 years and am not happy with the slowness of the GPS. Getting on my waypoints is hard unless I'm going directly to them. Basspro has the Elite 9 Ti on a black Friday sale and I'm researching whether it's worth it. I'd like real users input. Thanks

For the same $ the Garmin unit in the same sale is a faster unit.  Now if you were talking the Ti2, then that thing is awesome for the $.  It's a HDS gen3 with more compatability and a plastic screen.

BPS has the Lowrance Elite 9Ti on sale for $599.00 that's about a $400.00 off the regular price. I picked one up yesterday at Daytona BPS. Signed up for their credit card got another 15% off and a $50.00 gift card,
