"Different" wacky rig band - who knows the name?

Featured Replies

When using a wacky rig I like to do it differently than some people. Imagine a senko is sitting North to South, most guys just put the hook in the side where it is going East to West. If you us a single O-ring the hook then goes North to South too. I like my hook going East to West so in the past I have used 2 O-rings and make an X out of them you can get the hook to go East to West without having the pierce the worm. A few months ago on here I think someone posted a new item that allowed the hook to go like that with just one rubber ring that was just designed differently but for the life of me I cannot find it again. Any ideas?

I think you are hunting a G7 ring.  Do a Google search.  They are out there.

I just buy tube from Amazon and make my own.

I use Goody hair elastic bands from Walmart. They come 75 in a pack for a couple bucks. Double them over to make an X and put your hook under the X. Works great. And a lot cheaper than O rings.

Something like this is what I was looking for! Both have different sizes available. If 99% of the time I would be using a 5 inch senko, Trick worm or Dinger what size is ideal to get for both?

I think I want to try these mustads. There are two sizes a 7 mm and a 10 mm. If I plan on using them 5" stick baits which size do I want to order?

You should go with the 7 mm for Senkos and Yum Dinger.
