Help with trolling motor

Featured Replies

Hi guys.

I have a motorguide trolling motor pro series w/46 lb thrust.

It has the foot pedal with the dial for speeds 1-5.

This weekend I lost speed #4.

All of the other speeds work fine but I get nothing when on #4.

It is still under warranty, but I was wondering if there might be an easy fix.

It is most likely the speed control module. It is an easy fix, but get it replaced under warranty unless you have to pay for shipping just take it to a local repair shop.

Thanks CFFF 1.5

I have an appointment to get it looked at Wednesday.

Brute

Brute did you call Motorguide? They might send you a new foot pedal at no charge.

I called Motorguide and they said I have to bring it in.

Hopefully they will get it fixed while I am there on Thursday.

Brute

If it is the module atleast it's a quick fix.

Just an update.

It was the speed coil in the motor.

It took them 1/2 hour to get fixed at n/c.

We're ready to fish again.

woohoo
