Anybody "Ripping" a heavier swim jig through thick grass such as coontail?

I'm trying to find ways to fish what feels like impossibly thick grass. Is anybody using 1/2 Oz or heavier swim jig through the grass? Does it get bit? What type are you using?

    I use a 3/8 oz Dirty Jigs swim jig with a 3.8 Keitech through heavy grass.  Yes it does get bit. Most of my jigging is done on a MH/Fast rod, I rip grass on a H/Fast though.
