IMX pro or Megabass Leviathan:

Featured Replies

I’m choosing between an IMX-Pro 966 or Megabass Leviathan for swimbaiting 2-8oz.   I can get either for the same price (which means a small discount on the IMX).   Does anyone have a stronger preference?

I’m interested in hearing people’s thoughts on the mega bass rod also.

While not exactly the same rods you're looking at I do have an IMX Pro 965 and MB Destroyer Onager (as well as a couple Dobyn's SB rods), and while I truly enjoy them all if I was in your shoes I would go with the 966. It's a high quality rod with a great warranty, and it's close to perfect for someone wanting one rod to throw swimbaits all the way up to a Deps 250. That being said, the MB Orochi line is also great and you pretty much cannot lose with whatever rod you go with.

Thanks Norcal.   I’m definitely splitting hairs at this point.   After all the thinking, I went with the Destroyer Mark 48.   If nothing else, it looks pretty.  ?
