  1. Recently ran into a couple of videos of guys having real bang up days using bfs glide and swim baits. Looks like fun. That will completely occupy my mind as winter sets in.
  2. It is a lot of fun. I have a dobyns 691 and currado bfs reel. My favorite baits on them so far are the little pond magic and strike king spinner baits. They just get bites and there cheap. It’s a really fun drag rippin time.
  3. It was probably an older post. The fury series were $120 when I bought mine. Not sure what they are now.
  4. I had a 705 cb. Used it with 30# braid. It was my favorite spinnerbait chatter bait rod until I broke it. I feel it definitely needs braid for those two baits though.
  5. I think weightless plastics is definitely more about the rod than the reel. I like a medium power rod, for most of your average weightless plastics that take a 3/0 hook. I would imagine just about any modern reel will do fine. If your just planning on throwing the regular plastics you already use.
  6. I have a Plano box that if I remember correctly is 4”x9” that I modified with a dremel. It could hold plenty of hooks and weights for a couple of hours. Along with a couple spinnerbaits, chatter baits, jigs, and a few hard baits if you wanted. All at the same time. It fit in the back pocket of my jeans or a side cargo pocket. An assorted bag of soft plastics and pliers in another pocket. That gave me a couple different options for a couple of rods. Like said above putting stuff down and picking it back up sucks. This ends up being Plenty for a few hours of beating the bank.
  7. It’s killing me I bought them two winters ago forgot and never used them.
  8. Wow I bought two slammers a couple winters ago. Completely forgot about them until I read this post. Unbelievable, thanks for mentioning them. Time to start digging.
  9. I live in mass. Started throwing 6”/7” baits here and there 2 years ago I think. The number of 3 to 4 pounders I catch certainly went up. I say grab a couple of the shelf baits you can throw on something you have now and give it a shot.
  10. Grabbed a couple of those myself. What are you gonna throw them on. Might finally be my excuse to grab a dc 706 cb
  11. 1/8-3/16th tungsten and a rage craw same weight with a cut r worm falcon Cara finesse jig rod currado 150 mgl 30# power pro
  12. My hands down favorite t rig set up 8” bull worm in moon juice color. 1/4 oz tungsten 5/0 straight shank worm hook falcon Cara eye crosser currado 200 k with 50# power pro they pick it up and run then I wack em. It’s an agreement we have lol. I’m getting excited just thinking about it. Love it.
  13. That’s pretty much what I figured thanks. I wish it was enough for the grocery store lol
  14. I have a visa gift card laying around. Tried to make my first ever order from them. Says card can’t be processed. Curious if anyone had successfully used one
  15. That color just seems to work all the time.
  16. Good stuff guys. Real nice.
  17. I have a tranx 300 on the rod I use for the spro Chad Shad and other similar sized baits. If I were to redo that set up, I would just get another currado k 200.
  18. Probably a just my preference but I like my Cara’s more then my exprides. Don’t know for sure if there more sensitive or not.
  19. I have three of the 2.0’s I like them. Wouldn’t mind trying out one of the new ones.
  20. I still adjust it on mine. It’s just a touch tighter then how I would normally set it.
  21. I’ll also add with mine I had to tighten up the cast control just a little more then I normally would.

They are a fun bait and they catch fish. Careful they make you want more expensive rats.
  23. I use the 4”x9” Plano box. Modified with my Dremel. Fits in my back pocket a bag of assorted soft plastics in my front pocket and pliers in my other back pocket. 1-3 rods this usually gives me up to 9 bait choices. That’s more than I end up needing. But it’s nice to pack light and have some options.
