  1. I have the seirra 691. It’s a fun rod. Only thrown Ned’s and pond magic spinnerbaits with it so far. Catching fish on the small spinnerbaits is a ton of fun. My favorite so far.
  2. I can’t tie up a jerkbait without it getting caught up in the line my shirt or the bush next me while standing on the bank. Regardless of the knot. Getting stressed out just thinking about it.
  3. My father taught me to tie the improved clinch knot when I was a kid. He called it the fisherman’s knot, not sure if that’s accurate. I can tie it with my eyes closed. I firmly believe the knot you can tie properly is the best one to use. I don’t think it’s ever broke.
  4. Looks like the zaldain bait might replace the magdraft for me this year. Definitely worth trying out. I would love to be able to retrieve at different speeds.
  5. That’s a cool bait. I could see using that.
  6. I fish from the bank. I find 6’10” rods to be a very happy medium for where I fish.
  7. 7” sounds about right. It’s a serious piece of plastic.
  8. I grabbed a couple packs of those last year at the show. Havnt used them yet.
  9. I use mine on my spinnerbait rod.
  10. I have the 691. I’ve only used it for Ned’s and pond magic spinnerbaits. I worked great I have zero complaints.
  11. Agreed. Great rod from pitching sencos to 3/8’s jigs.
  12. I have two exprides and two falcon Cara’s. I feel like I like the Cara’s more than the exprides. They seem to fit my hand better ( big hands). I don’t love the 7’2” mh expride as much as I hoped I would. Not sure why. Only had it for one season though. I definitely can’t seem to go fishing without the 6’11” heavy Cara (eye crosser). I’ve throw from a 3/16th t rig 3/8’s to3/4 jigs. 3/8’s and up chatter baits 3/8’s weight and 8” bull worm. Big spinnerbait. All the way to a 6” magdraft freestyle on a 3/8’s 8/0 beast hook. I know it’s all personal but that rod just feels right to me. I can count grains of sand dragging a jig. It just seems to keep me engaged. I’m sure all the rods mentioned at this price point are great. It’s really gonna be what you like in a rod.
  13. Great story. One of those and the rest was history types.
  14. I don’t really have any worries about ordering. I just like to go to the store and get it when I want it. Exactly how I feel.
  15. Me too. I really wish I could go to a store for everything.
  16. Thanks I was thinking about grabbing one of them.
  17. Bfs glide bait, why not. What’s the name of that bad Larry. Is it the gan craft.
  18. I use 30# braid on mine. For slinging spinner baits, chatter baits, swim jigs.
  19. Pretty sweet. Is that braid on there.
  20. Bps carbonlite 2.0 6’6” in whatever power you want. They are great for the $. I’ve had 3 of them in that length a mh and a m in casting and a m in spinning. They have all been great. They were my first three rods 5 years ago, and they all still get used.
  21. I completely agree with the last two posts. I don’t know anything about reel service or repair. But throwing it on a rod and giving a test cast after you get it back together. Doesn’t sound that terrible to me.
  22. Couple Christmas presents two MDC rats and a spro Chad Shad. Wicked excited to try these out.
  23. That’s a little crazy man. You should really dial it back some.
  24. Sweet collection man.
