Was wondering if anyone had this fish finder, I can't figure out if it needs AA batteries or if it just runs off a 12v battery, any help would be great.

I have a 168EX (wide screen); they run off 12 volts  

Oh great Catt, how do you like yours?  Where did you mount your transducer?  I am thinking of putting mine on my trolling motor, I have seen a lot of people that put them on there transom or hull and it doesn't work very good because of engine turbulence.  I would be interested to see how you mounted yours.

I mounted the unit on my console with the transducer on the transom  

I read one complaint that the unit had taken on some water condensation under the glass on the screen.
