trolling motor prop wobble

Featured Replies

So after getting my boat out of storage i am going through and making sure everything is good.  My trolling motor is a MK Edge 55#.     I hook up trolling motor batteries and hit the button on the foot pedal to make it go.   Prop has a horrible wobble to it.   I took prop off and the shaft wobbles like crazy.  I ordered a new armature for it and am currently waiting for that to arrive.  Does anyone else have any experience with this and have any suggestions on what else to look for when I replace the armature.   Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Sounds like a bent/damaged prop shaft. The new armature should fix that though.

Put new brushes in while your at it.
