Hey folks. What would be the best techniques / lures to to fish and line to use on a

Shimano Curado 50e 6:4:1?

All of them. I'd do anything with that reel 

 

I have 15lb Invizx flouro on mine and use it for a variety of plastics, but is a pretty versatile reel and sure could be used for anything.  I had 50lb braid on it for a while for frogs.

I have a few 51e's. I have them spooled with 12 and 14lb line. They're the do all reels from finesse plastics, flipping plastics, squarebills, spinners, chatters, and swimbaits like Keitechs. They're workhorses and reliable. Will probably never get rid of them. 

 

Few of them I converted to 7:1 gear ratios. 

I put 15 lb Abrazx on my 50E and use it for pitching soft plastics at stuff.  One of my other 50 e has 10 lb Abrazx on it and it is my dedicated quarter ounce Brewer Slider rod.

Almost everything. Squarebills, spinnerbaits & chatterbaits are what I like mine for the most. People use them for anything from finesse to throwing frogs though. 

 

Swapping for a 200/201e handle for about $30 is a pretty common upgrade. You can swap gears from a 7.0:1 Core MG7 for around $40 too.
