He is proficient with a spinning reel and uses 1 rod and reel. 2500 size Plfueger President / 7’ St. Croix Avid spinning rod. What would be the best all around line for him. Weightless Senko / Swim Jigs. Thanks.

I tried to post what my most common lures I throw are and that I am strictly bank fishing. I have a variety of rods that I can match up with the reels. I just struggle deciding what type of line to choose. Just some basic suggestions for line types would help. Thanks.

Hey Folks, I’m pretty much stuck to bank fishing. Mostly ponds and small lakes from the banks. I have 4 BC and 3 Spinning reels. I will list them below. The lures I fish mostly are chatterbaits / swim jigs / spinnerbaits / weightless senkos / Texas rigged baits (all kinds). I rarely fish cranks or lipless cranks b/c I feel in most ponds I fish I always get snagged. I would like to have a reel setup for top water. I don’t fish frogs much either but would like to start. With that being said I am torn on what line type and poundage I should put on each reel. In the past I’ve always done straight fluoro even on spinning reels. Any recommendations will help me. I would like to respool all my reels over the next few days but wanted feed back before I purchased line. Thanks in advance. Can some of you share your thoughts on the older Lews Tournament Pro (TP1H) model? Came across a couple. Didn’t k own if I should pass them up or pick them up? I currently have a Tournament MB and didn’t know if it would be a step back? Thanks for your opinions.

Thanks for all the feedback. I appreciate it. With that being said I also came across a few posts that say Dobyns rods fish a little lighter than the specs. Is this true? I may opt for the 704C for the simple fact that I could use something a little on the heftier side as my other rods are all MH. Going with the 704C over the 734C as I am mostly fishing from the bank and having to store the rods in my smaller SUV.

I’m just now getting proficient with baitcasters. I bought a couple on here years ago and have just recently dusted them off and been using them more (Curado 50e and an older Bass Pro Qualifier). I’ve wanted to dip my toes into Lews brand so I’ve been searching around and came across these. Thanks for any more input.
