Lee’s TP1 Speed Stick

Featured Replies

The ceramic insert inside the rod tip eyelet Of my TP1 came out. Anyone know if Lew’s will fix this or how to go about repairing? Should I just replace the entire rod tip? Thanks!

Do you still have the insert? I know this sounds crazy, but the same thing happened to my Okuma EVX, and I just JB welded it back in. I haven't had any problems, it's been almost 2 years now.

Push the insert back in, put a small bead of epoxy around the insert and frame ensuring the inside of the insert is free of epoxy. It should hold fine after that, unless the tip frame is cracked.
