Skirted EWG Jigs -w-no weed guard

Featured Replies

I have a feeling I'm overlooking the obvious here but does anyone make such an animal?  I'm not talking about a swing head.  Just a standard skirted jig with a worm hook.  You could do away with the weed guard and would obviously be a lot more snag proof

I've been using the Fin-tech Title Shot jigs for several years... add your own skirt.

Maybe not exactly what you were thinking but I've had my eyes on the heads linked below for a while. Have to add your own skirt.

Oh hell.....I didn't even THINK of these AND I have a bunch of them.  Bravo!

Trashmasters are great - spent the day today dragging them through nasty laydowns and brushpiles. Closest thing I have to a complaint is that because of the wire ties you can't change out the skirts without a lot of committment.

Fin-tech title shots are pretty good too, skirts pop on and off easily, but it seems like they are about one hook size off for the weight. As an example the 1/2 oz is a 5/0 as is the 3/8oz. And the 1/4 is a 4/0. Just seem a little big for me in practice. But I'll keep buying them because there's no good alternative.

The owner ultrahead (have them too) are really slider head. Presentation will be flat on the bottom vs a stood up presentation like the two above. Hook diameter is like a slider too, just upsized. Probably medium wire.
