Heard a high pitch alarm today

Featured Replies

Today my wife and I went boating it was supposed to be fishing. Cruising along and the alarm went off, I  immediately stop the engine waited a few minutes, crank it back up went back to the boat ramp, everything was fine check the motor it was peeing.  Decided to try it again, the alarm went off again so I called a day. Anyone have any ideas of what it could be? Thanks for all input. PS the motor did seem to run sluggish not sure what that’s all about either anyway hope y’all have a blessed day.

Low on Oil?

Just because it is peeing does not mean it is cooling your motor. When was impeller last replaced?

Normally oil or water

At least on my Yammie that is an over heat indicator.

It’s an overheat warning on mine too, like someone said above just because you get a pee stream doesn’t necessarily mean it’s cooling. Also, I’ve been guilty a time or two while on pad trimming up a bit too much and I’ve got that warning as well.
