Hanansong
Has anyone heard or fished puddingstone recently? I've been to that lake probably 20 times or more and have always got skunked. My biggest bass was about 4 pounds there. From that day on nothing. It is a very pressured lake. I try to go finesse as possible. Light line, drop shot, and Ned rig. Has anyone fished there, and if so any tips? Hanan

Super User Hammer 4 Posted April 30, 2020 Super User Share Posted April 30, 2020 I fished there once many years ago. It's always been a high pressure lake. I was there during pre spawn, got a few bass, but smaller ones. What baits are you throwing..?

Lizards.
Super User Hammer 4 Posted April 30, 2020 Super User Share Posted April 30, 2020 Could be the bass are spawning, which means the bite is really tough. Once they are done, the bite will pick back up. Try some blue gill pattern baits.

skekoam
Where at pud are you trying. Its a big lake so you need to fish the right spots to give yourself the best chance.

Super User Hammer 4 Posted May 2, 2020 Super User Share Posted May 2, 2020 Hmm, sailboat cove usually produces when it's slow in other places. Unless the bass are still spawning.
