Fishing

Featured Replies

Has anyone heard or fished puddingstone recently? I've been to that lake probably 20 times or more and have always got skunked. My biggest bass was about 4 pounds there. From that day on nothing. It is a very pressured lake. I try to go finesse as possible. Light line, drop shot, and Ned rig. Has anyone fished there, and if so any tips?

I fished there once many years ago. It's always been a high pressure lake. I was there during pre spawn, got a few bass, but smaller ones.

What baits are you throwing..?

I threw some 2 to 3 inch keitechs in white. Some t rigs. Drop shots. Ned rig. Nightcrawlers. Flukes. Lizards.

Could be the bass are spawning, which means the bite is really tough. Once they are done, the bite will pick back up.

Try some blue gill pattern baits.

Thank you. I will try some bluegill colors.

Where at pud are you trying.  Its a big lake so you need to fish the right spots to give yourself the best chance.

I have a float tube and tried north shore in the shallows, south shore, east shore, and sailboat cove.

Hmm, sailboat cove usually produces when it's slow in other places. Unless the bass are still spawning.
