Navionics Hot Map Errors? **UPDATE**

Featured Replies

Anyone bought Navionics Canada Map in 2008 and expereinced errors? We did on a lake in Ontario. Reported it to Navionics and getting a response has been like pulling teeth. Now waiting for a reply from an email sent to their east coast rep.

The new version of their Hot Maps Premium South edition has some problems with Lake Talquin.

I would love to give the folks at Navionics a geography lesson.  There is no way that Nebraska or Kansas could be consider to be in the South.

Don't hold your breath waiting for Navionics to respond.  They are a bit on the arrogant side.

Have you checked www.fugawi.com for any updates?

All i could really find on that sight for freshwater lakes was a link to Navionics.  I don't want to buy another year if they haven't fixed the problem from last year's edition.  On a positive note (I guess), i did receive an email reply from the area rep who said he is looking into the problem and will get back to me.  I'll keep you posted what i hear.  Thanks for the suggestion though.  I will look at some of the other mapping products on the site.

Don't be too disappointed.  Navionics likes to advertise their high res maps, but they never tell you whether or not the information is accurate.  Personally, I've been somewhat disappointed with the information  provided.  On the other hand, I've also been disappointed with the info provided on the Fishing Hot Spots chips and with the free maps provided by Lowrance.  All in all, my vote goes to the FHS maps.

Update: I got a reply from Navionics today: "Thank you for reporting this discrepancy. This is going to be corrected and you will be notified in due course when the new chart is released."

Hmmmm...wonder if Navionics monitors BassResource.com? :;)

That doesn't sound like they are going to replace the one you have with a corrected one.
