  1. Figures we're a week off! LOL! Oh well. I'm hoping we don't miss the spawn. If you get out this weekend or next week, shoot me a message on how you did. Tight Lines!!!
  2. Awesome! We're staying at a house about 15 minutes from Chapin, so I'll have to check out the hardware store. I acutally like the smaller Mom and Pop places best. Thanks a lot! Seven days and counting!!!
  3. Thanks for the great advice! We're renting a house on the lake near Chapin. This is our second time going down. My parents have gone down to there for probably 20+ years or so. I can't wait to hit the water. I hope we do tear em up! Thanks again!
  4. Thanks Al! I appreciate the tip.
  5. Stick a fork in me...I'm a gonner if I have to give up my steak!! ;D ;D
  6. Hey all you Lake Murray guys: Going down for a week next Friday and am wondering if there are any good tackle shops nearby? We used to hit Sportsman's Warehouse, but now that they are closing, I'm looking for other ideas. The bait monkey always gets hungry on a week long fishing trip! Thanks in advance! 8-)

  8. Please elaborate on this Long Mike! Sounds like a project we could all benefit from using your experience. What type of alarm did you use? Thanks!
  9. :)Ok guys, I put it on yesterday and it was an easy project. All in all, it took about an hour. It was pretty much a non-event. Thanks for everyone's advice.
  10. Thanks for the advice folks. I'll report back after I install it (Hopefully tomorrow if the temp is up enough here.)
  11. BTech, I don't know if it will affect performance, but its a good question. I bought one last weekend at BPS ($152 for one to fit a 20ft boat). I haven't put it on yet and I thought last minute to ask here on the forum. Cold feet on my part perhaps, cause i get a little nervous when it comes to modifying my boat in any way. ;D
  12. Anyone have thoughts on installing a Keelguard on your fiberglass boat? Experiences? I see the usefulness in protecting the boat, but are there any drawbacks of having one?
  13. From a former USAF spitsucker... Listen to Nick76. He speaketh the truth. Good Luck!
  14. You just hit on my absolute favorite crankbait!!! I've got two falcon boxes full of them in different colors, but one and only one is my favorite: Black/Chartreuse. If momma would let me, I'd buy these things by the gross! I know...I have a disease...can't help myself...darn bait monkey. :
  15. My personal choice is Catch and Release. I don't fault those who keep an occasional fish or two. My jaw only tightens when I see folks who are just out on a meat hunt. Anyone who fishes from my boat better be prepared to release every fish they catch, unless one is mortally wounded.
