Daiwa Tatula CT Handle and Levelwind Bushings to Bearings

Featured Replies

Anyone know for sure the size bearings needed to upgrade the bushings to bearings in the handle and levelwind? How many are needed and where is best place to get them without breaking the bank? I'm going to be upgrading several reels.

4x7x2.5 mm. Takes 2 per knob. 2 for the levelwind.

Edit: I upgraded all 6 of my CT and CT type R's.

Thanks JA! 6 per reel. Got a recommendation by chance on where I could pick these up at a reasonable price?

I got mine off ebay from the Ukraine.  ABEC 5... I think it cost me 35 dollars for 20 of them shipped.

I got them from the place below. Like Jedi, I did both handles and levelwind.

If I were to do it again, I would probably only do handles. I run TSI 321 on the levelwind which provides no protection against water in that area.

*Note: when you do the handles you will likely have to remove/play around with the spacers that are there. There should be 2 of them. 1 of which is paper thin.
