I am looking for a good rod reel combo that is cheap and wont break, that i can catch pretty good bass with. i have tried walmart but they ave all snapped. I have seen the lews mr. catfish spinning rod, and was wondering if that was a good one or if there are better options

How are they snapping? Are you fishing braid with the drag locked down?

 

A snapping rod is usually the result of equipment that is not balanced, not of a cheap product.

i have no idea because i am very new to this

 

when i have a trout on the line they would snap and they were all very light and thin from walmart

 

Get a med action lightning rod from Walmart. 

I still have a couple that's 30 years old.

 

You don't want those tiny flimsy rods for bass fishing. 

Then see if they have a Mitchell 300, your set.
