My local bass pro shop have seats going on sale for 9.99 at the spring classic. I'm going buy one and a new pedestal for it.

I want one of these adjustable pedestal, but I keep hearing reviews how they stop working and is garbage.

I may not get that brand, but I want a similar item without gutting up my bank account.

Do you have to properly maintain these pedestal? Oil it up, keep dirt out, keep water out, etc?

I had one of those on my previous bass boat. I have had the other style with the seat mount that is part of it and it didn't last as long as the one you suggested.

I have a hydraulic pedestal on the drivers side and a manual pedestal on the passenger side. Both from Cabella's. I wanted to be able to easily raise my seat for greater vision in shallow water without having to do it manually. Haven't had any trouble with my hydraulic.     Happy fishing.

I bought one when i purchased my new 1996 boat and still works today. No maintenance.

Thanks Wayne P.     Happy fishing.
