They look interesting.  Have any of you guys tried them out yet?  

Perfection Sure Hook Up shaky head jigs? Looks interesting should work good. No mention of the hook make or size??

First I'm hearing of them....

Well I am having thoughts as to how I can make something similar if they are worth the time and effort.

Well I have been working on designs for a while and finally found something that is working.  I have caught 25 bass on them all of which were roof hooked.  I am using 4/0 hooks that I modified to fit a football head mold.

 

 

Looks good and works good....why didn't I think of that?

Actually it doesn’t seem so.  I fished it for 2 days without losing a single bait.

60lbs braid, is considered cheating in this case;)

The moving foreward jig should pick up weeds and the whiskers help the hook stay upright.

The key is how firm the wire is, it needs to be just right. What size wire was used?

I have used these shakey head jigs for a while and have lost very few do to getting hung up.

12# fluorocarbon or 10# fluorocarbon is what I am using depending on which setup.

Tom we don’t have vegetation in our highland reservoirs just rocks and timber.

 

 I don’t know what size the wire is.  It is some bulk stainless that I have had around for a long time. A couple of my students are using .029 with success.  My wire is a lot thinner than theirs.  I can’t measure it as my dial calipers are out on loan.

Thank you. Our deep structure lakes are similar and the reason standup style football jigs work good.

My jig head is more viper head shape and perfect for adding the wire.
