Last fall I bought a Johnny Morris Platinum Series spinning reel that was a Black Friday special.  Do you know who made it and what model it is similar to?  I was told Daiwa made them for BPS but didn't know it that was true and if so what Daiwa model is it comparable to?

The frame shape looks like it may be a Daiwa platform. Browse through their reels and look for one with similar features. If you want to do a deep dive compare schematics. 

It's the previous series Daiwa, before the LT series. Got the air bail, so it's not one of the very budget ones. I prefer the drag knob on that series as I sometimes touch the new drag knob accidentally and change the setting when I'm casting with the LT reels. Should be a nice solid little reel.
