GOING FISHING IN 1 HOUR!!!  LURE SUGGESTIONS

Featured Replies

Going LMB fishing today here in Boulder Colorado.  20 ponds in a 2 square mile area.  The ponds I'll be fishing, make it impossible to use a crank bait.  the vegitation is plain and simply to thick.

Jerkbaits -  silver and red Floating Rapala,

topwater crank bait - Jointed black jitterbug, 2 inch bluegill jitterbug, 4 1/2 inch silver zara spook,

Soft plastics,(crawdad, worm, grubs),

Buzzbait, black skirt

spinner bait (usually gets hung up in weeds on retrieve

My weedless frogs are in my friends tackle box so i cant use them

Weather here is 90 degrees and sunny.  Has been all week.  I'll be fishing from shore.  No boats here.  Lots of vegitation just below the water line.

I'm leaving in 90 minutes.  Smack dab at high Noon.  Which baits should I use to catch a monster?

I would fish soft plastics ONLY.

was hoping you said that.  Already texas rigged a nice 6'' Green Pumpkin zoom trick worm on my rod.  I'll hook up a grub on the other.  The real question is, should I carolina rig any of these?  Fish them weightless?  or texas rig both of them?  I'm just starting to experiment with soft plastics.  I've been going weightless mostly.  I've texas and carolina rigged a couple times too. All have been pretty successful but I can't figure out which is best.  That takes time, and I only picked up bass fishing a few months ago, now im addicted.
