Collierville, TN big pond behind Johnson Park

Featured Replies

So, the big pond off of the trail behind the park. Is there anything actually in here? I've seen a couple people fishing in there before but never seen anything in it. Ive fished the others 3 and the main pond with the fountains. But never that big one.

If anyone has experience with the big one let me know.

Well, the big fish  I am aware of was I1,98. Personally my best has been 8.9. However, I have caught a

number over 5 lbs. The problem is numbers. Most of my trips are zeros....Big fish or no fish.

I appreciate the info bro! I'm just looking for new (to me) little spots around collierville that I haven't fished yet. Finally got myself a scale so I'm ready to see what I can get!

Something massive is in there. I watched a brown/tan fish jump about 3 feet in the air, and it was absolutely massive. Bigger than any bass I've seen and it sure as hell didnt look like one. I'm relatively new to freshwater, but I've been able to fish about 60-70 times this year to practice at these local ponds and lakes. Never seen anything like it.

Off topic, but I grew up in Collierville. Man! That town has changed. I remember as kids, laying in the middle of Poplar Ave. at night and the town had like four traffic lights, total. Geez I’m old!?
