Bait Caster for Finesse

Featured Replies

I used a glx 852c with a chronarch mgl and can throw anything on it with no issues. I even play with nrx 853 for a lot of finesse applications with the met mgl. The 852 is a sweet rod for finesse, loads of power but super light and sensitive.

The OP's rod is a baitcasting Jig&worm rod rated 10-20 lb line 1/4-1 oz lures....your basic bass rod.

Paired with a curado dc, it’s great. Problem is I feel I need a medium on the Arsenal. Everytime I use a spinning rod And I’m around cover which is a lot. It just isn’t as accurate for me. I have the ugly stick if needed for spinning, I just end Up using it like a baitcaster the best I can. So I’m thinking a medium fast tip and maybe 7ft would give me more control On senkos and keep the 734 for everything Else. Thoughts?

Major Craft Don Iovino Splash-It bait casting rod should be exactly what you are looking for. Medium fast 6'8" rated 1/4-5/8 oz lures. I use this rod for finesse jigs and  t-rigs 1/8 oz 3/16 oz, top water and jerk baits and 1/2-5/8 oz medium diving and lipless crank baits.
