I am so addicted

Featured Replies

To fishing frogs! I have talked about on other threads but the last 2 days on 2 different lakes (Rend Lake and Lake Kinkaid, Illinois lakes) were a blast! And almost all fish caught was on some kind of frog.

Yesterday on Rend lake, I caught only 2 bass. The water was very choppy as a storm had just blown thru. However I found a stretch of Cyprus trees and caught a 1.5 and then..... A 5.7 Lb. Both on the Jackal Gavacho Charstick popper. I think my wife who was out just to be out riding around was more excited then I was ?

Today on Kinkaid I took a buddy out, and started fishing rip raps points with alot of grass in front of them on the main lake. We were just smashing them. Both of us caught a few 3-3.5 lb fish and just had a great time. Today was a white leopard Booyah Pad Crasher.

All I know is my wrist is very sore and I am now very addicted to that frog bite ?

It's a fun way to catch them, but can also be very frustrating.

By far my favorite way to catch largemouth.

Good report. I agree with you guys that catching a bass on a frog is very fun.
