Save time, line and money spooling up new line

Featured Replies

Hi BR,

This video shows how I spool up new line on my reels during a tournament to save time, line and will even save money.

Hope you like it, thanks for watching!

Lots of good tips there, James. Thanks for this.

Love these kind of tips, I have my pitching reel set up with with enough braid backing to allow 66 yards of main line to fill it, gets three refills out of a 200yd fluoro spool, saving that $$$, good stuff!

Thanks for the tips. Using a small knot and putting it on the outside of the spool makes a lot of sense.

I've been using a double uni to join my line/backing and placing it in the center of the spool. When my spool gets low the uni knot hits my thumb during casts and makes spool control difficult.
