Holiday Park..

Featured Replies

Well I recently bought a nitro bass boat and figured I would go up into holiday park a few times and catch some fish. The only problem is the only thing im catching is a sunburn. Ive been throwing crankbaits, Senkos, Frogs, Gambler big EZ, whopper plopper, and Spinner baits.. fished the main canals a bit before I went up into the flats. I dont even see bait fish or minnows up in the flats.. theres no alligators or anything. I dont get it. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

It has just been too hot! The bite is slow everywhere. Go out as early as you can. By 10 a.m. I am off the water as bites become non existent.

Since the water has gone up the bite is either early or late.  By 11:00AM your just practicing your casting.  Also slow way down.  Throw up into the pads and slowly pull it out and let it fall all the way to the bottom of the drop-off.  Senko type baits, trick worms and U-Vibes still produce but at a painfully slow pace.  Most bites deep at the base of the drop-off.  Gators have moved off deep into the swamp very few left in the canals.
