Looking for a power drive v1 foot pedal

Featured Replies

It’s a long shot but a kid I know just bought his first boat and he needs a foot pedal. If anyone has or knows where to get one. Thanks

Its a long shot many of us have tried man. The V1 power drive pedal is notorious for burning out and there isn't service parts available anymore. I ultimately bought a new V2. The few V1's I actually found were stupid expensive. On top of that any V1 pedal is going to be a time bomb to burn out. You're best option will be to try and find the best used 12 volt trolling motor available or buy a V2. You may as well start looking now.

Thanks I’ll let him know.

Get a new motor and NOT a Powerdrive 2, unless it's got the Ipilot controller. The foot pedals on both the PD1 and 2 are plagued with problems.

I will agree with what slonezp said. I said I have the V2. I have the pilot version of it. Spot lock and not having to worry about the horrible foot pedals was worth it. It can be purchased normal and then ipilot added later with minor installation needed. That could be helpful if he needs time to save up for it.

The contact points on the pedal simply just wear out. My Father has a 2001 Powerdrive V1 and he’s replaced the pedal 4 times now in 19 years. The pedal itself isn’t cheap either and Minn Kota tells him to go kick rocks on replacing it under warranty.

There are several for sale on eBay, for prices averaging about $200. I’ve got a couple of them I could let go for less than that. Pm me if you are interested.

It’s not for me I’ll ask the guy looking for it how much he is willing to spend and get back to you or I can pm you his number. Thanks

Hi There,

I have been given a Trolling motor from my neighbour but he can’t find the foot pedal. I Have done a bit of research and the V1 pedal will fit my motor. If you still have 1 I’m very interested.
Regards
