What is the best mounting unit which will allow me to mount a helix 10 on the console but Would allow me to spin it to face the bow when I’m up front. Also it would enable me to remove the head unit to store inside, as I don’t have indoor storage and would like it not to be stolen off the boat.

    Ram mounts are good. 

    A tip for a "wrench" to tighten the ram mount. Get a 2" PVC tee, slot the tee end to fit over the ram tightening handle.
