Low voltage on Ultrex

Bought it from Russell Marine Products and they say they can't do anything, I have to go through Minn Kota.

Unbelievable, the thing hasn't been in the water 5 minutes.

That’s a frustrating deal. I went on their parts portal and searched for 2020 ultrex parts. It showed the boards in the foot pedal unavailable currently. Could very well be a supply chain issue with everything going on right now. Could be that they got some bad boards and are trying to get that sorted and not send out potentially bad parts. Doesn’t change the fact that you’ve dropped some coin on something that should work out of the box though.

It’s certainly not ideal, but if it’s still working, could you put back on the motor I’m assuming you replaced with the ultrex to get you through the tournament? You shouldn’t have to but you gotta do what you gotta do to get after those fish.

Yeah, I already gave it to a high school kid in town here that needed one.

That was good of you @JeffD I hope that MK takes care of you in a timely fashion the way you took care of that hs angler.

Any update on the situation?  Curious how customer service ends up handling it.

Still waiting on a response from Minn Kota. Unbelievable! Russell Marine says there's nothing they can do to replace it. They say Minn Kota has a procedure that has to go through warranty shops. I found a shop that will look at it within a week. If that's the way Minn Kota handles situations like this, then ok, but if it needs a part the repair shop can't get than I'll have a real problem with their "procedure"!

I totally understand we are in different times and things don't go a smooth as they might normally, but they won't even respond.

unfortunately it is not just Minn Kota. A lot of companies are having issues at the moment.

I recently had an  issue with a new hummingbird. I sat on hold for over an hours before a tech answered.

Once the tech answered, it was obvious he knew nothing about my unit, after getting put on hold 2 more times, I hungup

I went to the Cabelas boat shop, where I bought the unit, they found the issue fairly quick.

In the past Minn Kota and Hummingbird answered right away and resolved the issue quickly.
