No I dont.  I'm typically thinking about the cover that I'm throwing into.  Typically i throw a frog into some that i dont have alot of options for...so I'll stick with the H rod.  Now if the cover dictates that you can step down a power then do it.  I have thrown frogs on a 6'8. Mh in very light cover and around docks.  No heavier than frog type lures are, I let the cover dictate the rod.  

Except if casting it is an issue then step down after you try it...Cruz you have to be able to get it there.

I use the same gear because I'm throwing into the same cover.

Yes, I still sling a 1/4 oz frog on my Powell 735.  I can throw them on my 7'1 Tatula as well.  

For me I don't get the same distance, but it's close enough.  

I dont change anything except the reel speed setting.

If you have problems throwing the lighter weight frogs with your setup, put a couple BB's in the belly.

I picked up the Daiwa Tatula 7'4" H/F frog rod earlier this year, so if I'm throwing a frog right now, it's exclusively on that. I just lost the 7'1" H/F Jig rod which I used for frogs last year, and that would also see some use as a frog rod because I can carry it and switch from a jig to a frog while on the water but I lost that and the replacement arrived broken, but the frog rod works for all of the frogs I throw.

The frog I throw more than any other is the LiveTarget 2 1/4" frog (the middle size) which is heavy at 5/8oz for a smaller sized frog, and the Tatula frog rod throws it great.

Or that. I don’t think they’ll stick to a frog, though. And they’re a lot more expensive. 

*Interesting that weights are usually not provided for frogs - only length.... While I prefer the larger frogs - there are certainly times when having a couple of smaller frogs with you can produce bites when the larger ones do not .

Those small Booyah frog/poppers cast pretty well, just use the same equipment.
