I am new to baitcasters and was practicing casting and I ended up with a pretty bad backlash( not a surprise) and now when i press the button to cast it doesn’t even drop my lure. Please help

Loosen the spool tension knob. It’s located on the same side of the reel as the handle

So the backlash was removed and now it wont drop the lure? Can you manually pull line out? 

Check to make sure like didn't get between spool and frame. 

If it’s braid likely dug in.
