Does this look like a Palomar knot to you all? Please excuse the video. Did the best I could.

Yes that’s a Palomar. 
One thing, try to keep the 2 lines parallel to each other, not crossed  when you make the overhand knot. 
 

Another, using as much line as you did, pull the main line a little before cinching, you won’t waste as much line.

Lubricate that line, unless its braid in which case another knot may suit you better. 

 

For braid, I prefer the fish n fool
