I'm getting ready to buy a fish finder. I have my eye on the Lowrance HDS-5x.

Anyone own it? Do you like it? Whats your choice of electronics?

    I own an HDS-8 with insight and love it. only real problem is that lowrance still has not come out with the upgrade for the hotmaps premium '09. the broadband sounder is terrific, and the built in gps doesnt lose itself at all. i would get an hds system if i had the money
