Just bought the LWX-1 for the HDS and used the audio jack in the IM to connect a pair of speakers. Sounds comes out of the speakers but it is very weak. The speakers are new along with all the wiring. Any advice?

He has a picture of the serial number or something. Can you search it to find more information on the boat? This thing should be valued at least $30k.

I have finally installed the navionics upgrade in my hds system and everything worked fine. But then when i put the navionics card in, all the maps show up like they should but then they disappear in about two minutes and the screen goes white. The only way to get the maps to show up again is to go into charts and switch it back to Lowance charts and then back again into Navionics, but then the same thing happens again. I do not know what is wrong. Thanks!

The navionics upgrade for the HDS systems. I thought I had it downloaded but now I cant find it on my chip. To make matters worse, my computer is "timing out" every time I try to download the files again!! Anybody have any solutions?

The new upgrade is out! I cant wait to see what it looks like. Already downloaded it to the card, just not to the unit yet.

I have a HDS-8 and love it. I have seen the new Humminbird's sonar and believe it is not even comparable with Lowrance's. The only advantage Humminbird has right now is the SI factor, but i believe that is soon going to change. Also, the HDS enternal antenna has not lost me once and is extreamely accurate. The navionics card is a bummer, but that upgrade is suppose to come out tomorrow. Can't wait to see what it looks like!

what do you guys think about those solar panel chargers? they seem like a good idea but do they really work?

I just bought 2 new 12 volt batteries for the trolling motor and after I got them all hooked up the trolling motor would not work. There is power going into the foot control from the batteries. Not sure what is wrong. Thanks

I own an HDS-8 with insight and love it. only real problem is that lowrance still has not come out with the upgrade for the hotmaps premium '09. the broadband sounder is terrific, and the built in gps doesnt lose itself at all. i would get an hds system if i had the money

Finally got ahold of Lowrance, only took an hour of holding. Said it was suppose to come out mid-april. Obviously not, but they are "working thier hardest to make the update". This is the first problem I have ever had with Lowrance.

Thanks guys, but I have an hds-8 and I dont see an upgrade for that system. When I put the card into the hds-8, it just says to go to www.lowrance.com for more info. It is the preimium hotmaps 2009 chip.

Lowrance has an upgrade coming out for the hds systems today so they can hold the new navionics mapping cards. I already have the card, and I was just wondering if anybody knows how to go about upgrading the lowrance. Thanks

Honestly, I would get the Lowrance HDS system. The 2D sonar has far better clairity than the Humminbird, and now they are going to add the Side Scan on it, which can be added at anytime. If you are going to spend 2k on a system, go with the HDS 8.

Yea man, I just ordered myself a HDS 8 and it should arrive soon. I saw that Lowrance is going to add the side view imaging to all HDS systems sometime in '09. But you can add it to an already existing HDS system. That puts Lowrance head and shoulders above Humminbird now!
