Anyone know if you can replace the stock clip with an oval split ring on the line tie of this bait without affecting the action? I have an old one that I’m replacing hooks and split rings on.

    Luhr Jensen Speed Traps came with standard clip. Owner's Hyper Weld 26# is the lightest and strongest I know of.
