Found my new to me boat. Wooooo Hoooooooo

Featured Replies

First off I gotta say that I have the GREATEST WIFE IN THE WORLD!

As you all know I've been looking for a new to me boat for awhile now and have been asking all kinds of questions, trust me guys, I appreciate all your patience and understanding. I currently have a 1990 Champion 201 F/S with a 1992 200hp Mercury EFI. It runs great but the interior is in pretty bad shape, the gel coat is getting bad and its just getting old.

At first the wife allotted me about 15K but after looking at a few boats, going on test rides etc, in that price range and not finding anything that I would really be satisfied with, she told me to get exactly what I wanted.

Yesterday I found what I believe will be MY BOAT. No I have not seen it in person yet but it is a marine owners demo boat, fully loaded, and comes with full factory warranty. The reason I didn't pick it up this weekend, yes the funding is already in place, is because he is using it in a tournament and it wont be back to the shop until Monday however I did put a deposit down on it so its being held for me. The only way I wont get it is if something happens to it this weekend, keeping my fingers crossed.

One bummer is that the shop is about 3 hours 1 way, away from me and have to work this coming week but I'm going to see if I can take Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off. I mean, come on, if I take Wednesday off and pick it up I have to go fishing, right?

Anyhow, here are the specs:

2007 Champion 210 Elite SCX, 20' 10" length, 95" Beam with 50 gallon fuel tank.

Mercury 250 XS with a 10" Hydraulic Jack Plate

Dual Blinker control on the wheel

Rod Lock-R-Bar

Lowrance LCX-38C HD on the bow, LCX-28C HD on the console.

Hydraulic steering

36 Volt 105 lb Tour Edition trolling motor w/Gator Mount and Recessed foot pedal

4 Optima Batteries

4 Bank on Board Charger

Phillips Battery trays

Custom tandem axle trailer with disc brakes, spare tire, and swing tongue.

Full Factory Warranty on both the boat and motor.

Like I said earlier, I HAVE A GREAT WIFE!!

A VERY HAPPY bassnman mike

Hope this works out for you !! Should be an awesome rig. The blinker control are turn signal style switches to operate the trim and control the jackplate without taking your hands off the steering wheel.

Good Luck

Greg

Glad you found what you wanted! Sounds like an awesome boat! How much did you end up spendin' on her?

Nice color scheme and great wife is right.  Not only for giving the OK to spend that kind of coin on a boat but NO DUAL CONSOLE?   :)

Those 210's give a great ride.  Congrats.

Thanks guys!

Everything is in place. I'll be putting a substantial down payment and I'm pre-approved for the remainder so the only way it wont work out is something happens to it, God forbid, this weekend.

As to the no dual console, I was kind of surprised myself but she has always said that the console doesnt provide much protection and she also said that it would be easier for me to fish out of because the second console gets in the way at times, GREAT WIFE!

I'll call the shop tomorrow to be sure it got back there fine. Cindy says that I'm acting like a kid at Christmas. HA! I cant deny that I'm very excited.

By the way, thats Ryan Newman standing next to me in front of my current boat

Great looking boat. I know you can't wait to get it on the water. You do realize the next time your wife wants a new car you can't say no :).

Great Ride. It is hard to tell from the pictures if the boat has any keel protection. If not I would add as soon as possible.............Al

Glad you stayed with Champion..........

Funny you said that. She currently has a 2004 Black Supercharged Monte Carlo SS and she wants the new Camaro SS, in black of course, when it finally comes out, bummer for me huh? HA!

I do plan on it if it does not have one.

Hah... I've got a '02 Monte and I want the new Camaro! Good luck with that one! :)

Hey, but then you're gonna have a sweet boat and an awesome car!

I'm happy for you.  Like I stated if I were moving from my C 206 it would be to a 210.  It should give you many many years of great service.

On that Opti.  Be sure to warm it up good before you take off.  That has always been the number one killer of that motor.  I never move my boat out of the no wake area until the engine temp is at least 120°.

That is about as beautiful a boat as I have ever seen.

As to the single console, I hate being the co-angler in a dual console boat.  There isn't enough room for my stuff, and I bring too much stuff.

Awesome!! Congrats man!! The orange striping is SUH_WEEET!

One thing, if it doesn't already come with it ask them to add a transom saver with the deal. I didn't see one in the last pic. :)

Congrats man! That truck is sick too!

Thanks, I'm pretty proud of both of them. I'm considering putting my chrome rims back on my truck so they will match the trailer, either that or I'll get some black rims for the trailer.

Thanks for the advice

Thanks! I remember back when I was a non boater. I always liked the single console ones myself so I hear ya

Thanks! I'll have to check into that.

Yep, they are waxing it up and detailing it for me. I was hoping to pick it up tomorrow, Wednesday but I wont be able to pick it up until Thursday, bummer. Can you tell that I'm pretty excited?

Thanks again everyone!

Sweet boat dude, post some pictures up when you get her "Home".
