Transducer mount for Tracker Classic XL

Featured Replies

Hello,

I recently purchased a Hummingbird Helix 7 MSI and was trying to figure out the best place to set up the transducer on the transom.   I attached two pictures and if you notice there is a strake (ridge) in the area.  I didn't want to have it create issues with the transducer.  How far to the left should I go to install?  All suggestions appreciated.

I will leave the position to others.  The one thing I will suggest is get a transducer mounting board and secure it to the boat above the water line.  Then mount the transducer to it.  That way you will be able to move the transducer without drilling holes in the boat below the water line.

Lund used to send on with all of their new boats.  It was a great idea.

Thanks jigman.  I installed a mounting board and patched the existing holes.  I wasn't big on putting new holes in the boat.
