I've got that going for me and here I am...  a minimalist.

 

We both have 'lifetime licenses'. She usually goes along for the ride if the weather is good but never at 5 am. 

My lady started as a fisherwoman when we first dated but after years of fishing with me at that pace she got burned out on it. Now she fishes maybe twice a year and just goes to hang out from time to time. But the best thing is she never cares how much or how expensive I buy.

My wife always out fishes me, so I usually just shut up.  Not that she's a better fisher than I am, but I'm usually resetting after getting her undone from a snag or out of a tree or after retying her line or taking a fish off, and that's when she's catching her fish.  Her line is in the water probably 2x as long as mine because I'm usually fixing things she's gotten messed up.
