Is this Garmin a good deal?

Featured Replies

BassPro has an Echomap Plus 93sv with GT52 transducer as a clearance for $599.  Was originally $999. I’ve got a 3 yr Garmin StrikerSV, but it doesn’t have the mapping capabilities. Is this new Garmin a good deal, or should I wait for the electronics to upgrade.  I bought my Striker a year early; the newer ones have map capability. I’d like to eventually add a Livescope on this unit, but who knows what they’ll have out by then!

That’s a great unit for the price. There will always be new and better so it’s kind of a crap shoot. FYI:  None of the Striker series have built in maps.

That’s about as good of a deal as you’re going to find or at least that’s been the case the last few years.

The Striker Plus units don’t have maps but  some do have QuickDraw.
