I tore up the older(1994) 30# Motorguide I was using and purchased a 40# Minn Kota Endura as a replacement.

Does anyone else own a Minn Kota Endura 40,and how do you like it?

I used to have a 36 endura tiller on my 14 foot sea doo jet boat and it pulled that boat without a problem.  I have since upgraded to a 40 edge foot control and WOW what a difference.  Much easier to handle in the wind and the extra 4 lbs of thrust pulls it much better.

I had an Endura 50 lb and it pushed mt 10' jon faster than a 1.75 hp gas motor did.

I have been using a couple of MK40s for 4 years now and have not had a problem with either. They are used in salt water  half of the time and flushed with fresh water when I get home. You might consider the Maxim model with the digital throttle. It will double (or more) your run time on a battery charge. I use the Endura, but have built a digital throttle for it, and am very happy with the motor.
